Lindsey Wilson basketball hosts Fisk on Monday

The Lindsey Wilson men and women's basketball hosts Fisk (TN) on Monday at Biggers Sports Center, 360 Spickard Drive, Columbia, KY. The women's game tips off at 6pmCT followed by the men's game at 8pmCT.

Lindsey Wilson athletics is hosting its annual shoe drive that is co-sponsored by Sports Reach and AutoSmart. Fans are encouraged to donate new or gently used shoes and sock for ministries inside the United States as well as countries of Belize, Costa Rica, Liberia and Indonesia. Fans with a donation will receive free admission into the games.


The No. 19-ranked women (19-8) return to the floor after defeating Hiwassee (TN) 75-57 on Saturday at Biggers Sports Center.

As a team, the Blue Raiders average 70.8 points per game out-scoring opponents by a margin of 9.8 points. LWC has been shooting 39.2 percent from the field as well as 31.1 percent from beyond the arc. The Blue Raiders also out-rebound their opponents by a margin of 7.5 rebounds, an average of 42.7 per game.

The Lindsey Wilson offensive efforts have been led by sophomore guard Reagan Turner. Turner leads the team and the Mid-South Conference in points per game with 20.3 points each contest. Turner has shot for nearly 46 percent from the field so far this season.

Gerda Paulauskaite also leads LWC and the MSC in rebounds and blocks. Paulauskaite averages 8.4 rebounds per game along with 2.7 blocks per game.

Heidi Huffman, Paulauskaite and Turner all rank in the top-ten in NAIA Division in at least one category each. Huffman is ranked No. 10 in total three-point field goals made (78). Turner ranks sixth and seventh in total scoring (547) and points per game, respectively. Paulauskaite ranks sixth in blocks per game as well as seventh in total blocks.

Fisk (6-16) visits Biggers Sports Center after defeating Oakwood (Ala.) 75-67 at home on February 11.

The Bulldogs are led by Lashae Brown who averages 17.6 points per game, shooting 35.7 percent on the season. Brown also leads the team in assists with 50 on the season.

Monday's game is the sixth meeting between the two programs. Lindsey Wilson holds a 5-0 record over Fisk. Last season, the Blue Raiders defeated the Bulldogs 91-58 at Biggers Sports Center back on January 22, 2018.

The Lindsey Wilson men's basketball (14-13) team returns to the floor after a 95-71 win over Cumberland (Tenn.) on Thursday evening.

The men are averaging 78.6 points per game, outscoring opponents by a margin of 8.4 points a contest. The Blue Raiders are shooting 45.8 percent from the field while going 36.7 percent from beyond the arc.

Payton Cundiff is ranked 13th in the NAIA and leads the Blue Raiders in three-point shooting percentage at 47.5 percent from beyond the arc. JR Adams leads LWC and is ranked 14th in the NAIA in total steals with 50. Adams is averaging 1.8 steals per game this season.

Fisk (8-16) returns to action after an 87-84 loss to Oakwood (Ala.) on February 11.

Montreal Nabors leads the Bulldogs averaging 12.9 points per game while grabbing 6.5 rebounds per game. Nabors is shooting 41.8 percent from the field and 38.3 percent from beyond the arc while leading Fisk with 37 steals this season.

Monday's matchup marks the fifth meeting, with LWC holding a 4-0 series advantage. The last meeting occurred in January 2018 where the Blue Raiders won 75-72 over Fisk.
