ACSO: Adair Co. couple arrested after a traffic stop on KY55N By Sheriff Josh Brockman Adair County Sheriff's Office On Thursday, February 14, 2019, at 6:18pmCT, Sheriff's Deputy Josh Durbin initiated a traffic stop on a 1996 white Dodge passenger car. During the stop it was believed that the operator was under the influence of an intoxicating substance. The driver, Joseph Trumpis, was also found to be operating on a suspended operators license. He was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs, operating on a DUI suspended license, no insurance, and no tail lamps. A female passenger in car was also arrested. Amanda Northrup of Columbia was charged with alcohol intoxication, possession of methamphetamine, possession of controlled substance 2nd degree, and promoting contraband 1st degree. Both Trumpis and Northrup was lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail by Deputy Josh Durbin, who was assisted by Deputy Brandon Hitch and Trooper Billy Begley. NOTE: An arrest is not a finding of guilt. An individual placed under arrest is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at some later criminal proceeding.
