Adair Co. Grand Jury returns indictments Thu 7 Feb 2019

Indictments brought against 10 individuals from Columbia and Russell Springs, KY, and Marysville, TN on charges including possession, assault, menacing, DUI, flight, sodomy, rape, sexual abuse, criminal mischief, and burglary.

NOTE: Indictments are considered formal charges. An indictment is not a finding of guilt. An individual charged by indictment is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at some later criminal proceeding.

The Adair County, KY Circuit Court grand jury, Columbia, KY, returned indictments against the following individuals on Thursday, 7 February 2019:

  • Kathryn Marie Hadley, Donna Lane, Columbia, KY Indictment No. 19-CR-00030. Charged with 3 counts. Count 1 - Possession of a controlled substance, 1st degree, 2nd offense, methamphetamine. Count 2 - Possession of drug paraphernalia. Count 3 - Possession of marijuana. Bail set at $1,500 cash/sp w/mcr, arraignment 2/26/2019 at 9amCT.

  • Kaysie M. Matthews, Glensfork Rd., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 19-CR-00031. Charged with 1 count. Count 1 - Tampering with physical evidence. Arraignment 2/26/2019 at 9amCT.

  • William Earl Corbin, Slick Rd., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 19-CR-00032. Charged with 7 counts. Count 1 - Assault, 3rd degree. Count 2 - Assault, 3rd degree. Count 3 - Assault, 3rd degree. Count 4 - Custodial interference. Count 5 - Menacing. Count 6 - Obstructing governmental operations. Count 7 - Resisting arrest. Arraignment 2/26/2019 at 9amCT.

  • Alisha Burton, Slick Rock Rd., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 19-CR-00033. Charged with 3 counts. Count 1 - Assault, 3rd degree. Count 2 - Custodial interference. Count 3 - Menacing. Arraignment 2/26/2019 at 9amCT.

  • Darrin E. Walters, Harris Rd., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 19-CR-00034. Charged with 6 counts. Count 1 - Operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol/drugs/etc., .08, 4th or subsequent offense, aggravating circumstances. Count 2 - Fleeing or evading the police, 1st degree. Count 3 - Fleeing or evading police, 2nd degree. Count 4 - No operator's license. Count 5 - Failure to produce insurance card. Count 6 - Failure to notify department of transportation of address change. Bail set at $5,000 cash, arraignment 2/26/2019 at 9amCT.

  • Timothy G. Russell, John St., Russell Springs, KY Indictment No. 19-CR-00035. Charged with 6 counts. Count 1 - Possession of a controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense, methamphetamine. Count 2 - Theft by unlawful taking/disposition, under $500. Count 3 - Possession of drug paraphernalia. Count 4 - Possession of marijuana. Count 5 - Operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol/drugs/etc., .08, 1st offense. Count 6 - Carrying a concealed weapon. Bail set at $1,500 CA/SP w/MCR, arraignment 2/26/2019 at 9amCT.

  • Samuel Joseph Hicks, Jodi Lane, Marysville, TN Indictment No. 19-CR-00036. Charged with 5 counts. Count 1 - Sodomy, 3rd degree. Count 2 - Rape, 3rd degree. Count 3 - Unlawful transaction with a minor, 1st degree. Count 4 - Prohibited use of electronic means originating or received within the Commonwealth of Kentucky to induce a minor to engage in sexual or other prohibited activity. Count 5 - Prohibited use of electronic means originating or received within the Commonwealth of Kentucky to induce a minor to engage in sexual or other prohibited activity. Bail set at $100,000 cash, arraignment 2/26/2019 at 9amCT.

  • Matthew L. Sroka, Reams Rd., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 19-CR-00037. Charged with 1 count. Count 1 - Sexual abuse, 1st degree. Bail set at $50,000 cash, arraignment 2/26/2019 at 9amCT.

  • Lucas B. Parnell, Weed-Sparksville Rd., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 19-CR-00040. Charged with 5 counts. Count 1 - Burglary, 2nd degree. Count 2 - Persistent felony offender, 1st degree. Count 3 - Theft by unlawful taking/disposition, $500 or more but under $10,000. Count 4 - Persistent felony offender, 1st degree. Count 5 - Criminal mischief, 2nd degree. Bail set at $10,000 Cash, arraignment 2/26/2019 at 9amCT.

  • Jeannie M. Wheeler, Keltnertown Rd., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 19-CR-00041. Charged with 3 counts. Count 1 - Burglary, 2nd degree. Count 2 - Theft by unlawful taking/disposition, $500 or more but under $10,000. Count 3 - Criminal mischief, 2nd degree. Bail set at $10,000 cash/sp, arraignment 2/26/2019 at 9amCT.

  • Lucas B. Parnell, Weed-Sparksville Rd., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 19-CR-00042. Charged with 3 counts. Count 1 - Burglary, 3rd degree. Count 2 - Persistent felony offender, 1st degree. Count 3 - Theft by unlawful taking/disposition, under $500. Bail set at $5,000 cash, arraignment 2/26/2019 at 9amCT.
