Sullivan wins scholastic award, named to Top 10 DYW

By Calen McKinneyCampbellsville High School senior Elizabeth Sullivan received the overall scholastic award at this year's Kentucky Distinguished Young Woman program.

Sullivan was also named to the Top 10 out of 30 participants.



She participated in the Kentucky DYW program on Friday, Jan. 11, and Saturday, Jan. 12, at the Singletary Center for the Arts at the University of Kentucky in Lexington.

Earlier this year, Sullivan was named the Taylor County Distinguished Young Woman for 2019.

The program consists of scholastics, interview, fitness, self-expression and talent competitions.

Sullivan performed "Toccata" on the piano.
