Arrestee injured by own gun during altercation with trooper Bowling Green Daily News An arrested man was critically injured Saturday evening when his gun discharged during an altercation with a Kentucky State Police trooper inside the Barren County Detention Center in Glasgow. Following the incident that occurred about 6:30pmCT, Matthew A. Stapleton, 26, of Columbia, was taken to T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow and was later flown to the University of Louisville Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition Saturday night, according to a news release from KSP Post 3 in Bowling Green.
