He was a member of Burkesville Church of Christ and a farmer.

Paul Short, age 79, of Burkesville, Kentucky passed away on Monday, January 21, 2019 at the Medical Center at Bowling Green.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 24, 2019 at 11amCT at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Burkesville, KY, with Bro. Aric Russell officiating. Burial will follow in Stalcup Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 from 11amCT until 9pmCT at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home.


Paul was born on August 09, 1939 in Cumberland County, Kentucky to the late Sullivan Short and Addie Cary Short. He was a member of Burkesville Church of Christ and a farmer.

Survivors Include:
  • His Wife, Barbara Brown Short of Burkesville, KY

  • One Son, Jeff Short and his wife Rhonda of Celina, TN

  • Brothers-in-law and Sisters-in-law: Billy and Linda Brown, Kenny and Betty Brown, and Callie Short all of Burkesville, KY

  • A host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers: Frankie Sells, Donnie Carter, Greg Cary, David Brown, Jeff Vibbert, Thomas Baker.
