Letter: Help needed from Columbia City Council on Wain Street

To the Columbia City Council and Mayor Pam Hoots:

What would be the possibilities of having a white center stripe added to my Wain Street? It is fairly narrow but two cars can meet and pass, that is if they are good drivers!

Now for Oak Street you could not add a center stripe because neither side would be wide enough for a car to stay on their side, it is just to narrow and has at least three spots that vehicles have to stop and let oncoming traffic come through just because it's over a culvert or there is a wall on both sides making too small for two to meet and pass!

I know there are a lot of streets in Columbia that have the problem of needing white center stripes but I don't believe there are anymore streets like Oak Street. Please take a look and see if any help can come to this area! You would not believe the traffic that uses both streets! Thank you all for listing to my side of town's problems! - Ralph Roy Waggener
