Lindsey Wilson Classic continues today By Clayton Barefield The Lindsey Wilson men's basketball team welcomes Campbellsville University and Carver (GA) to Biggers Sports Center for two basketball games as they host the Lindsey Wilson College Classic this weekend. The Lindsey Wilson College Classic is sponsored by Brown and Brown Insurance as well as Sleep Inn and Suites of Columbia. Competition began at 8pmCT on Friday as Campbellsville faced Carver. The Blue Raiders take on Carver at 1pmCT on Saturday at Biggers Sports Center, 360 Spickard Drive, Columbia, KY, to close out the weekend. Lindsey Wilson (6-4) is coming off a 110-49 victory over Boyce (Ky.) on Tuesday night at Biggers Sports Center. The Blue Raiders never trailed in the contest taking the lead as large as 61 points to finish the game. Tuesday night's game was the second game this season that the Blue Raiders reached the 100 point mark. Kel Stotts led the way for the Blue Raider offense scoring 21 points connecting on 7-of-14 shooting attempts. Three Blue Raiders posted Lindsey Wilson career highs in the game. Shakaris Laney scored a career-high 19 points, JR Adams recorded 18 points and Ethan Hennis tallied 10 points. Payton Cundiff tallied 15 points while Fredens Deneus posted 10 points to round out the six Blue Raiders in double-digit points. Mid-South Conference member No. 5 Campbellsville (11-0) comes into the classic off a 103-62 victory over Central Penn (Pa.). The Tigers are lead by Stephaun Adams and Deion Evans. Adams leads the team averaging 20.5 points per game, 5.5 assists per game and 2.2 steals per game. Evans leads the team in rebounds per game (8.18) as well as blocks per game (0.5). Carver College (0-13) of the NCCAA last fell to Cumberlands (Ky.) 82-64 at home on Saturday. Antonio Gardner and Julian Fuller both posted double-doubles in the loss. Gardner tallied 19 points and 10 rebounds while Fuller scored 13 points and collected 10 rebounds as well.
