Blue Christmas special service offered for those feeling down December 16, 2018 at 5pmCT, Columbia United Methodist Church, 202 Burkesville Street, Columbia, will offer a "Blue Christmas" service for those who feel down at Christmas. The service will focus on the deep hope that we have in Jesus and will include meaningful music, hymns, and Scripture readings. Everyone is welcome! By Bro. John Hatton Christmas can be the most wonderful time of the year! However, for some folks Christmas can be a difficult time. If you have lost a loved one, have experienced loss of any kind, depression, divorce, or any other difficult event in life, the experience of Christmas can be especially painful, difficult, lonely, or less than hopeful. Columbia United Methodist Church is offering a special service to our community this December that is oriented towards those persons who struggle with the difficulties of life especially during Christmas time. On December 16, 2018 at 5pmCT, we will offer a "Blue Christmas" service for those who feel down at Christmas. The service will focus on the deep hope that we have in Jesus and will also include meaningful music, hymns, and Scripture readings. Come join us on December 16th, everyone is welcome! Columbia United Methodist Church also wants to invite the community to our annual community Christmas Eve Candlelight Service. The service is on December 24, 2018 at 11pmCT.
