Loran Lile Nunn, 90, Green County, KY (1928-2018)

He was retired from Fruit of the Loom, Inc. and the oil field business. He was preceded in death by his wife, Zelmodean W. Akin Nunn on October 3, 2010, and by two sons - Joseph Nunn in the Vietnam War, and Steve Nunn on December 4, 2013. His honorary pallbearers include Ron's Hardware Loafers.

Loran Lile Nunn of Green County, KY, departed this life on Tuesday, December 4, 2018. He was 90 years, 3 months, and 18 days of age.

The funeral services for Mr. Loran Lile Nunn will be conducted at 2pmCT Thursday, December 6, 2018 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Altman Cemetery. Dr. Gary Ervin officiating. Visitation is requested after 9amCT Thursday until time of the funeral service.



PALLBEARERS: Brandon Mann, Jason Mann, Jeremy Mann, Chris Wilcoxson, Timmy Wilcoxson, Jamie Caven, Derek Edwards. HONORARY PALLBEARERS: Ron's Hardware Loafers.

He was the son of Amos Nunn and Ruth Lile Nunn, born on Thursday, August 16, 1928 in Green County. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was retired from Fruit of the Loom, Inc. and the oil field business.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Zelmodean W. Akin Nunn on October 3, 2010 having united in marriage on November 18, 1972.

Survivors include
  • His children - Pam Thomas, Paulette Domki both of Indiana, Debbie Wilcoxson, Wilbert Dean Edwards, Reva Shockency all of Greensburg, Marcia Edwards, and Mary Durham, both of Campbellsville
  • A brother and sister - Don Nunn of Greensburg, and Betty Donan of Campbellsville
  • 17 grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
Mr. Nunn was also preceded in death by two sons: Joseph Nunn in the Vietnam War, and Steve Nunn on December 4, 2013; seven brothers and three sisters.

The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Altman Cemetery Fund or the Gideon Bible Fund, which can be made at the funeral home.

The Cowherd & Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S Main Street, Greensburg, KY, is in charge of arrangements.
