Ina was a homemaker and a member of the Church of God.

Ina Opal Tucker Thomas, 95, of Jamestown, died Sunday, November 25, 2018, at the Fair Oaks Nursing Home in Jamestown.

The funeral service for Ina Opal Tucker Thomas will be 1pmCT on Wednesday, November 28, 2018, at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 N. Main St., Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Billy Dunbar officiating. Interment will follow in the Holt Cemetery.

Visitation is requested between 11amCT and 1pmCt on Wednesday.


She was born February 10, 1923 in Russell County to the late Onnie & Sadie West McQueary.

Ina was a homemaker and a member of the Church of God.

She was preceded in death by 8 brothers and sisters.

Survivors include:
  • Three children, Ivalene (Dearl) Dunbar, of Somerset, KY, Christine (David) Henderson, of Russell Springs, and Roger (Kaye) Tucker, also of Russell Springs
  • A step-daughter, Arlene O'Dell, of Dayton, Ohio
  • Seven grandchildren: Greg Polston, Brian Dunbar, Andrew Tucker, Andrew Henderson, Jesse Henderson, Dylan Henderson, and Wayne Henderson
  • Two sisters, Daphene Popplewell, of Russell Springs, and Buelah Armstrong, of Indiana
Pallbearers will be Ronald Johnson, Kevin Popplewell, Joe McQueary, Jimmy McQueary, Tommy Popplewell, and Garlan West.
