Adair Co. Grand Jury returns indictments Tue 13 Nov 2018
Indictments brought against 16 individuals from Columbia, Glensfork, Albany, Edmonton, Campbellsville, Greensburg, Lebanon, Russell Springs, and Magnolia, KY, on charges including possession, assault, theft, wanton endangerment, escape, DUI, promoting contraband, and terroristic threatening.
NOTE: Indictments are considered formal charges. An indictment is not a finding of guilt. An individual charged by indictment is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at some later criminal proceeding.
The Adair County, KY Circuit Court grand jury, Columbia, KY, returned indictments against the following individuals on Tuesday, 13 November 2018:
- Melinda S. Young, L&N Turnpike, Magnolia, KY Indictment No. 18-CR-00230. Charged with 3 counts. Count 1 - Receiving stolen property, $500 or more but less than $10,000. Count 2 - Possession of a controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense, methamphetamine. Count 3 - Possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail set at $1,500 cash, arraignment 12/11/2018 at 1pmCT.
- Joshua E. Cochran, Thrasher Ct., Russell Springs, KY Indictment No. 18-CR-00231. Charged with 5 counts. Count 1 - Receiving stolen property, $500 or more but less than $10,000. Count 2 - Persistent felony offender, 1st degree. Count 3 - Possession of a controlled substance, 1st degree, 3rd or subsequent offense, methamphetamine. Count 4 - Possession of drug paraphernalia. Count 5 - Giving a peace officer false identifying information. Bail set at $5,000 cash, arraignment 12/11/2018 at 1pmCT.
- Jason Guy Perkins, Bloomington Chapel Rd., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 18-CR-00232. Charged with 2 counts. Count 1 - Possession of a handgun by a convicted felon. Count 2 - Possession of a handgun by a convicted felon. Bail set at $10,000 cash, arraignment 12/11/2018 at 1pmCT.
- Coy D. Morrision, Jr., Jay Wheeler Rd., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 18-CR-00233. Charged with 4 counts. Count 1 - Tampering with a prisoner monitoring device. Count 2 - Persistent felony offender, 1st degree. Count 3 - Escape, 2nd degree. Count 4 - Persistent felony offender, 1st degree. Bail set at $25,000 cash, arraignment 12/11/2018 at 1pmCT.
- Dana Rochell Campbell, TP Cundiff Rd., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 18-CR-00234. Charged with 2 counts. Count 1 - Promoting contraband, 1st degree. Count 2 - Possession of a controlled substance, 1st degree, 2nd offense, methamphetamine. Bail set at $1,500 cash, arraignment 12/11/2018 at 1pmCT.
- Ricky Allen Jones, Slater Rd., Edmonton, KY Indictment No. 18-CR-00235. Charged with 4 counts. Count 1 - Possession of a controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense, methamphetamine. Count 2 - Possession of marijuana. Count 3 - Possession of drug paraphernalia. Count 4 - Public intoxication. Bail set at $1,500 cash, arraignment 12/11/2018 at 1pmCT.
- Buddy R. Longwell, S. Hwy. 639, Albany, KY Indictment No. 18-CR-00236. Charged with 5 counts. - Joseph P. Baker, Ed Irvin Rd., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 18-CR-00238. Charged with 7 counts. Count 1 - Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Count 2 - Tampering with physical evidence.
