The Adair Heritage Association Memberships For 1997 Now Due

This article first appeared in issue 12, and was written by Staff.

The Adair Heritage Association is accepting memberships for 1997, and again this year, the dues are $10 for a family, $7.50 for single membership.

The Association, whose primary function is the operation of the Trabue-Russell House at 299 Jamestown Street in Columbia, had one of its most significant years in 1996. The displays were significantly improved-to the extent that those who have not seen them will have a sense of seeing major part of Adair County's history for the first time.

Also, the Trabue-Russell House will be the starting point for the walking tour of Columbia, now being outlined by Vonnie Kolbenschlag.

The Adair Heritage Association, the group will hold salad luncheons this on May 30 and October 30.

"We hope to open the House again this year from June 3 through August 29 (except July 4) on Tuesday through Friday, 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.," a letter to members stated.

For membership, make checks to Adair Heritage Association and send it to them at 299 Jamestown Street, Columbia, KY 42728.
