Standoff ended, road reopened in Taylor County, man arrested by Larry J. Smith, General Manager, The Big Dawg, FM 99.9 The Greensburg Road out of Campbellsville between Red light #1 and Shilo Road is open after a 6-hour standoff with a man who had barricaded himself in a home following a complaint that had been lodged against him for assault. Report from Taylor County Sheriffs Department: On 11/18/2018 at approximately 3:30pm the Taylor County Sheriffs Department was dispatched to friendship Pike in reference to a domestic assault in progress. Upon deputies arrival, it was learned that Kenneth Losch had broken into a residence where his estranged wife had been staying. According to Kimberly Losch, her husband struck her several times in the head with a pistol. He fled the scene before deputies arrived. Mrs. Losch was transported to Taylor regional hospital by Taylor County EMS for treatment of her injuries. Kenneth Losch was later located at his residence. Taylor County Sheriff deputies, Campbellsville police, Kentucky State police, and Kentucky fish and wildlife arrived at the home of Kenneth Losch at 2195 Greensburg Road. Upon their arrival, shots came from with in the home. Phone contact was made with Mr. Losch in an attempt to get him to surrender. After several hours of attempts, the Kentucky State police special response team made entry into the home. After entering the home, it was learned that Mr. Losch had a self-inflicted gunshot wound. He was flown from the scene to Louisville Kentucky for treatment of his injury. Taylor County EMS and Taylor County fire and rescue assisted at the scene. Kenneth Losch's condition is not known at this time. This incident remains under investigation by deputy Dickie Benningfield with the Taylor County sheriffs office.
