Adair County Fiscal Court has early session due to conference

The Adair County Fiscal Court met Tuesday, November 13, 2018 in a special early afternoon called meeting to allow time for all members to leave for the KACo (Kentucky Association of Counties) conference in Lexington.

Before the meeting began, Adair County Judge Executive Mike Stephens turned to his left and gave a warm message of congratulations to the new CJE Elect, Gale Cowan. She won the position in the November 6, 2018 General Election last week and will take office in January, 2019.



All department reports were accepted as presented.

Action items passed included: Implementing the required sales tax and making it retroactive to July 1, 2018; the Search and Rescue request for annual funds was approved; The lease for space beside the 911 Center for the JOY Ministries homeless building was approved for contract signing.

The Columbia-Adair County Airport Board request for annual funds was held over until the December meeting for more details.
