Students go to Boston--seeking jobs in Japan By Andrew Revanales (Trinidad/Tobago) and Yuta Yamamoto (Tokyo, Japan) Eleven Japanese students at Lindsey Wilson College just returned from Boston were they were seeking job opportunities more than six thousand miles away--in Japan. This Boston event is the largest career forum for Japanese-English bilinguals in the world, with 230 participating companies attracting more than 5500 student participants. Each year several Japanese students go to Boston to participate in the Boston Career forum, where global companies hold seminars and information sessions showing what their firms have to offer to top college graduates. The eleven LWC students from Japan have been preparing for the job forum for the last month, tuning up their resumes, applying to participating companies online, and honing their interviewing skills. Company representatives at the forum are not just HR staff, but also include department managers, directors, and even company presidents.
