By Sergeant Jason Morris

Dunnville, KY - Kentucky State Police investigated a single vehicle injury collision that closed one lane of US127 in the limits of Dunnville today around 12:01pmET for several hours.

Preliminary investigations indicate that 67 year old Steven Warfel of Portland, TN was operating a 2006 Peterbilt tractor-trailer traveling north on US127. Warfel failed to negotiate a curve, overturning his vehicle running off the roadway. A telephone pole was damaged causing the lines to fall across US127 closing one lane of the roadway.

Warfel was wearing his seatbelt and was transported to the Casey County Hospital and was later flown to University of Louisville Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Sergeant Randall Honeycutt is investigating and was assisted on scene by members of the Kentucky State Police Post 15, Casey County Fire, EMS and Rescue Departments.
