Suspended students still not in school after social media posts

Adair County public schools Superintendent Dr. Pam Stephens has released the following statement concerning last week's disciplining of two students who posted messages and photos on social media:
As many are already aware, some students have been suspended at Adair County High School because of inappropriate attire and pictures posted on various social media sites.

Students and staff, thank you for coming forward to share your concerns. 'When you see something, say something' worked for Adair County students today. Our investigation is ongoing. But these students will not be back in school this week.

Students, you are always encouraged to tell a staff member, but if you feel reporting anonymously is your best way of reporting, please go to our district website and click on 'stop tip line'. The Adair County school district is committed to the safety of all students and staff every day. We do not take distracting behavior in social media posts lightly. Again, students and staff, thank you for reporting your concerns.
