LWC Swimming to host Union and Campbellsville By Benjamin Riegger The Lindsey Wilson men and women's swimming team hosts a tri-meet against Union (KY) and Campbellsville University at NoonCT on Saturday, November 3, 2018, at Holloway Center Natatorium in the Holloway Health & Wellness Center, 399 Williams St., Columbia, KY. Saturday's matchup will feature two Mid-South Conference Swimmers of the Week in Jessica Macdonald and Clemens Paeztold. The Blue Raider men's swimming team (2-1) defeated Life (Ga.) 496-436 on Saturday. LWC men's swimming team posted eight first place finishes. Clemens Paeztold led the men on the night with three individual first place finishes along with an A-cut standard in the 200 backstroke with a time of 2:03.89. Aleskander Olejnik received another A-Cut standard in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 59.35. Saturday's matchup marks the 13th meeting between LWC, Union and Campbellsville. Union lead series over LWC at 10-2 and LWC leads the series against Campbellsville 12-0. The last time the programs met Union defeated LWC 153-152 and LWC defeated Campbellsville 164-77. The Blue Raider women's swimming team (2-1) defeated Life (Ga.) 686-218 Saturday October 27. LWC women's swimming team achieved a total of 10 first place finishes with 2 A-cut standards. Jessica Macdonald continues her hot streak, notching three more individual first place finishes in the 50 (25.32), 100 (54.30) and 200 freestyle (1:58.57). Emma Fenwick gained herself a pair of A-cut Standards in the 100 breaststroke (1:10.35) and 200 breaststroke (2:34.25), in addition to a B-cut standard in the 100 butterfly with a time of 1:06.07. Saturday's matchup marks the 17th meeting between LWC and Campbellsville with the Blue Raiders leading the overall series 16-0. Saturday's matchup with Union marks the 10th meeting of the programs with LWC leading the series 5-4. The last time programs met, LWC defeated Union 158-66 and defeated Campbellsville 175-76.
