50's & 60's festival July 6 on the Square

The public is invited to the 50's & 60's festival on the square Saturday, July 6, in celebration of the Lainey's Diner Grand Opening. Lainey, Elaine Bennett, says she will start cooking up special biscuits at 6 that morning and she'll keep cooking tasty goodies until 10 that night -or whenever the Sock Hop is over.

DJ Rob Collins is scheduled to kick off the Sock Hop on the square at 7 p.m. where a whole lotta shakin' is expected to be going on til about 10 p.m. Elaine is also hoping other businesses downtown will join in and stay open later to help draw people to the extra activity on the Square.

Turn to the center pages inside for more details about the celebration.
