The Adair County Marching Band took a huge step in the journey to their 23rd State Championship this past Saturday at the KMEA West Region Quarterfinals! The band came out on TOP with the high score at the event against a total of 9 bands. Now, they head into a week of intense rehearsals to prepare for the KMEA State Marching Band Championships, which will be held this Saturday, October 27, 2018 in Lexington, KY. They will attempt to make history yet again as they seek their 23rd KMEA State Marching Band Championship!

This year's show is entitled, Shadowlands, and is a dramatic and visually stunning display of the Adair Band's talent, charisma, and diversity. Under the direction of Director Tom Case and Assistant Director Jordan Humphress, this year's band, which has an average age of 14, has grown exponentially and exceeded expectations for such a young group. The strides they have made this year are astounding! It is a show you will not want to miss!

Please show your support this week for this group of hard working and dedicated students as they continue the legacy of the Adair County Marching Band. They work very hard to be the best band they can be and look forward to representing Adair County this weekend with pride!

The band will be performing in semi-finals at Bryan Station High School at 11:15 CST. If you are interested in attending the KMEA State Championship Finals this Saturday, October 27th, which will be held at Kroger Field in Lexington, KY, the band has a very limited number of remaining tickets left in their reserved section. You can contact Susan Pollard, Band Booster Treasurer, at 270-250-3356 for more information or to purchase.

Eyes with Pride!
