Arrest made on property stolen in Adair and Russell Counties By Ofc Josh Brockman, Columbia Police Department CPD Chief, Jason Cross Note: An arrest is not a finding of guilt. An individual placed under arrest is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at some later criminal proceeding. On 10-18 -18 at 12:25amCT Columbia Police arrested 39 year old Charles McFarland after recovering a stolen TV and audio equipment at a residence on Montgomery street. Columbia Police was working in conjunction with Russell County authorities on locating items reported stolen from a residence there. McFarland was charged with Receiving stolen property by CPD Officer Jordan Dean and lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail. McFarland will face additional charges in Russell County.
