LWC Football travels to Georgetown Saturday By Benjamin Riegger The No. 4 Lindsey Wilson football team travels to Mid-South Conference member Georgetown (KY) for a top 20 matchup at 12pmCT on Saturday, October 13, at Toyota Stadium, Crawford Dr., Georgetown, KY. Thanks to a fan vote on the NAIA Facebook page, the Lindsey Wilson and Georgetown football game is the NAIA Game of the Week. Lindsey Wilson (4-1, 1-0 MSC) notched another home victory, 73-0 over Cincinnati Christian (Ohio) last Saturday. The Blue Raiders scored 10 touchdowns in the matchup as Jaylen Boyd led the Blue Raider offense with a career-high three rushing touchdowns and his first ever 100-yard rushing game. The Lindsey Wilson defense produced the program's second ever shutout last Saturday. The Blue Raider's are ranked third in the MSC for total defense per game. The LWC defense has kept opponents to averaging just four yards per play while only allowing them to score seven touchdowns. Senior linebacker, Joe Lewis, is chipping in for the defense with 22 tackles, a sack, a fumble recovery and an interception on the season. No.15 Georgetown (4-2, 1-1 MSC) return's home after a 13-7 road victory against Cumberland (Tenn.) last Saturday. The Tigers offense is led by running back, Nick Conley, who has produced six-yards per carry average while scoring five touchdowns. Quarterback, Hunter Krause, has thrown 87 completions for 1,155 yards and nine touchdowns for the Tigers. Saturday's matchup marks the ninth meeting as the series split at 4-4.
