Taylor County Grand Jury returns indictments Tue 9 OCT 2018

Indictments brought against 46 individuals from Campbellsville, Wilmore, Liberty, Russell Springs, Salvisa, Olive Hill, Nicholasville, Harrodsburg, Lexington, and New Hope, KY, plus Detroit, MI, and Chicopee, MA, on charges including assault, trafficking, theft, promoting contraband, forgery, possession, criminal mischief, escape, tampering with physical evidence, and inciting a riot.

NOTE: Indictments are considered formal charges. An indictment is not a finding of guilt. An individual charged by indictment is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at some later criminal proceeding.

The Taylor County, KY Circuit Court grand jury, Campbellsville, KY, returned indictments against the following individuals on Tuesday, 9 October 2018:

  • Brian Brandon Baldwin, Campbellsville, KY Indictment No. 18-CR-00233. Charged with 2 counts. Count 1 - Assault, 3rd degree, inmate assault on corrections employee. Count 2 - Persistent felony offender, 1st degree. Bond set at $50,000 full cash, no contact with complaining witness, no violations of the law, no use of drugs or alcohol.

  • Johnny J. Payne, Bell Ct., Campbellsville, KY Indictment No. 18-CR-00234-001. Charged with 4 counts. Count 1 - Trafficking in controlled substance, 1st degree, 2nd+ offense, 2g+ heroin, while in possession of a handgun. Count 2 - Traffic in marijuana, <8oz, 2nd offense while in possession of a handgun. Count 3 - Possession of drug paraphernalia. Count 4 - Persistent felony offender, 2nd degree. Bond set at $40,000 cash.

  • Diamond A. Thompson, Bell Ct., Campbellsville, KY Indictment No. 18-CR-00234-002. Charged with 3 counts. Count 1 - Trafficking in controlled substance, 1st degree, 2nd+ offense, 2g+ heroin, while in possession of a handgun. Count 2 - Traffic in marijuana, <8oz, 2nd offense while in possession of a handgun. Count 3 - Possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond set at $30,000 cash.

  • Etiyah E. Thompson, Bell Ct., Campbellsville, KY Indictment No. 18-CR-00234-003. Charged with 3 counts. Count 1 - Trafficking in controlled substance, 1st degree, 2nd+ offense, 2g+ heroin, while in possession of a handgun. Count 2 - Traffic in marijuana, <8oz, 2nd offense while in possession of a handgun. Count 3 - Possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond set at $30,000 cash.

  • Johnny J. Payne, Bell Ct., Campbellsville, KY Indictment No. 18-CR-00235. Charged with 2 counts. Count 1 - Possession of a handgun by a convicted felon. Count 2 - Persistent felony offender, 1st degree. Bond set at $15,000 cash.

  • Kevin Barnes, Campbellsville, KY Indictment No. 18-CR-00236-001. Charged with 2 counts. Count 1 - Promoting contraband, 1st degree. Count 2 - Persistent felony offender. Bond set at $15,000 cash.

  • Richard Philon, Campbellsville, KY Indictment No. 18-CR-00236-002. Charged with 1 count. Count 1 - Promoting contraband, 1st degree. Bond set at $10,000 cash.

  • Robin Barnes, McCauley Rd., Wilmore, KY Indictment No. 18-CR-00236-003. Charged with 1 count. Count 1 - Promoting contraband, 1st degree. Bond set at $10,000 cash.

  • Tiffany Emmerson, Debbie Rd., Liberty, KY Indictment No. 18-CR-00236-004. Charged with 1 count. Count 1 - Promoting contraband, 1st degree. Bond set at $10,000 cash.

  • William Tillett, Crescent Hill Dr., Campbellsville, KY Indictment No. 18-CR-00237. Charged with 4 counts. Count 1 - Trafficking in marijuana, <8oz, 2nd offense. Count 2 - Possession of drug paraphernalia. Count 3 - Possession of controlled substance, 2nd degree, hallucinogen. Count 4 - Persistent felony offender, 2nd degree. Bond set at $5,000 full cash, no violations of the law, no use of drugs or alcohol.

  • William Tillett, Crescent Hill Dr., Campbellsville, KY Indictment No. 18-CR-00238. Charged with 2 counts. Count 1 - Trafficking in marijuana, <8oz, 2nd offense. Count 2 - Persistent felony offender, 2nd degree. Same bond as 18-CR-237.

  • Kern Kost, Wickliffe Ave., Campbellsville, KY Indictment No. 18-CR-00239. Cahrged with 2 counts. Count 1 - Trafficking in marijuana, 8oz-5lbs, 1st offense. Count 2 - Possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond set at $1,000 cash.

  • James E. Cooke, Patterson St., Campbellsville, KY Indictment No. 18-CR-00240. Charged with 6 counts. Count 1 - Possession controlled substance, 1st degree, methamphetamine. Count 2 - Possession of controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense, heroin. Count 3 - Drug paraphernalia, buy/possess. Count 4 - Fleeing or evading police, 2nd degree, on foot. Count 5 - Resisting arrest. Count 6 - Public intoxication controlled substance (excludes alcohol). Bond set at $5,000 full cash, no violations of the law, no use of drugs or alcohol.

  • James Cooke, Cedar St., Campbellsville, KY Indictment No. 18-CR-00241. Charged with 2 counts. Count 1 - Possession controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense, drug unspecified. Count 2 - Promoting contraband, 1st degree. Bond set at $5,000 full cash, no violations of the law, no use of drugs or alcohol.

  • Eric G. Davis, Dewey St., Chicopee, MA Indictment No. 18-CR-00242. Charged with 10 counts. Count 1 - Receiving stolen property, $10,000 or more.   • Zacharey A. Garrett, Calvary Church Rd., Campbellsville, KY Indictment No. 18-CR-00249. Charged with 1 count. Count 1 - Criminal mischief, 1st degree. Same bond as in 18-CR-248.

  • Bryant C. Milby, Greensbug Rd.-Arrowhead, Campbellsville, KY Indictment No. 18-CR-00250-001. Charged with 1 count. Count 1 - TBUT or disposition parts from vehicle $500 or more but under $10,000. Bond set at $500 full cash, no contact with complaining witness, no violations of the law, no use of drugs or alcohol.

  • Erica L. Gravel, Greensburg Rd.-Arrowhead, Campbellsville, KY Indictment No. 18-CR-00250-002. Charged with 1 count.
