Large Crowd attends dairy meeting at Lindsey Wilson Over 140 dairymen at SUDIA meeting at Cranmer Dining Center. Extension Office, 409 Fairground ST, Columbia, KY The Area Dairy Producer meeting sponsored by SUDIA was held Thursday night, November 5th at the LWC dining center. The meeting was well attended with over 140 dairyman, dairy families, and guests. Topics for the evening included SUDIA's milk marketing efforts including bottled milk in schools and innovative milk marketing campaigns with restraints including McDonalds, Dominos, and Starbucks. Representative Bam Carney and Adair County Judge Ann Melton presented Adair County dairy farmer Floyd Roy with certificates congratulating him on winning the 2009 KY Milk Quality Award. The Kentucky Dairy Development Council (KDDC) Director Maury Cox spoke of recent efforts to assist KY dairy producers including the MILK program and the KY Milk Commission Board. SUDIA District Chairman Billy Rowe commented on the recent actions on animal welfare and how dairy producers can respond to acts against animal agriculture.
