ACHS Operation 10-46 shows mock accident results Sirens wailed and a medical helicopter landed on the Adair County Schools campus this morning as part of a simulated automobile accident designed to reinforce the importance of smart decisions in and around prom weekend driving. Student Trey Stephens said, "It absolutely hit home and reminded us that it can happen to anyone. Huge thanks to Adair County EMS, Columbia Police, Adair County Sheriff's Department, Columbia Fire Department, Breeding Fire Department, Air Methods and Air Evac. Distracted and impaired driving is a concern across all age levels, and organizers feel that this activity will drive home the importance of making good decisions, staying away from drinking or impaired driving, and never texting while behind the wheel. Each of these poor decisions can have dire consequences and Operation 10-46 will communicate this in a very real manner. This training comes before the ACHS Prom scheduled for Saturday, May 4, 2024. Everyone, please drive carefully around special events like this weekend's, and every day. This story was posted on 2024-05-02 13:10:36
