CPD: Traffic stop leads to possession arrest By Officer Adam Cravens, PIO Columbia Police Department On Sunday night, October 8, 2023, a traffic stop was initiated on Columbia bypass at 8pmCT. After making contact with occupants, a search was conducted and a female inside the vehicle was found to be in possession of suspected methamphetamine. Kendra Smith, 35, of Columbia, was taken into custody and has been charged with possession of methamphetamine 1st. Officer Holly Necessary was the arresting Officer.
