Letter: Ten dollar bill has more history

Nancy Moran Fouser writes:
The bill with Bruce Montgomery's signature is quite old. On the other side of the bill is the signature is Braxton Massie president of the bank at that time and one of the founders of the bank. He was one of the founders of the bank.

He was my great grandfather. He was also the great grandfather of Margaret Owens and Bruce Montgomery. The Bruce Montgomery who signed the bill was their grandfather. Braxton Massie died in 1945. I am interested in the owner. Enjoyed seeing the story. - Nancy
Response Re: Ten Dollar Bill

Nancy, thank you for writing! We have a history feature by the writer JIM coming up tomorrow where he also notes that there were two Adair Countians who signed that bill.
